Some fixes
In my jam submission comments, a lot of people complained that my game had bugs, and for good reason. the older hurtbox collider were bigger than the player (I know, insanely rookie mistake) but now it is a much smaller rectangle. This was the root of most of the bugs you guys encountered, so the gameplay should be much better and much smoother now. Tight spaces are easier to dash through, you don't touch spikes accidentally anymore, that's all gone!
Fixes:
- Fixed hurtbox sizes.
- Fixed the time it takes to change from onWall state to onGround or inAir state.
- Fixed the respawn system so that when the player dies mid dash, their movement is reset.
- Fixed the wall jump mechanic by adding coyote time to walljumps too.
- Fixed the room change system so that until the camera animation ends the player cannot input any movement.
- Fixed the layout of the second room.
- Fixed the hanging platform in the third room, now it is larger.
- Fixed UI navigation.
Minor changes:
- Added a mini tutorial obstacle to better communicate the walljump mechanic:
- The color palette has been updated with the SLSO8 Palette:
